About jasilicon247
A small, honest set of financial calculators and formula pages.
Who built this
jasilicon247 is a one-person project built by Jaikumar. It started as a way to make everyday financial math simple: instead of digging through spreadsheets or opaque bank brochures, you get a calculator that shows you the formula and the working behind every result.
The site is free, has no sign-up, and is funded only by optional donations. You can support it here: Donate Me.
What you'll find here
The site covers the financial math most Indians deal with day to day: home, personal and auto loan EMIs, amortization schedules, house affordability, mutual fund and SIP projections, income tax estimates, take-home salary, compound interest, inflation, retirement planning and rent-versus-buy comparisons.
Every tool is built around the same philosophy: show the formula, explain each input, and give the result instantly. You can use them from any device with a browser — the calculations run locally, so there is nothing to install and no account to create. Updates to the tools are made openly and the pages note when they were last updated.
As a one-person, mostly evening-and-weekend project, the site is deliberately small and focused. It will never chase feature bloat; instead, each calculator is kept simple, correct and easy to verify by hand.
What this site is not
jasilicon247 is an educational resource, not a financial advisory service. The results are estimates produced by standard formulas under fixed assumptions. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell, borrow or invest, and they do not take your personal situation, risk appetite or a lender's specific rules into account.
Tax slabs, interest rates and regulations change. Always confirm current figures with official sources such as the Income Tax Department, RBI, SEBI or your bank, and talk to a qualified professional before making any significant financial decision.
Why the numbers can be trusted
Three things we care about, in order:
That said, these are estimates, not guarantees. Banks, lenders and tax rules have rounding, day-count and rate-change conventions of their own. Treat every result as a planning aid, and verify with your bank or a qualified professional before acting on it.
